4. Child Protection and Safeguarding

Safeguarding means: protecting children from abuse and maltreatment. preventing harm to children's health or development. ensuring children grow up with the provision of safe and effective care. Child protection focuses on an organisation’s responsibility to protect children they come into contact with, whether harm is taking place inside or outside the organisation.
